OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD

 

The Operational Excellence Award will be presented to the airline (combined with the airline's ground handler, where applicable) that has made a significant contribution in the past year to further improving the operational processes at Schiphol and has favourably influenced the passenger's perception of airport operations. The award criteria are improvements in check-in and baggage handling services, a focus on customer satisfaction and commitment to operations.

 

EFFICIENCY AWARD

 

The Efficiency Award is designed to reward the airline (combined with the airline's ground handler, where applicable) that has distinguished itself over the past year by undertaking initiatives to further improve efficiency at Schiphol. The criteria that play a role in the award are the optimal use of all operating assets (Common Use devices and contribution to Lean programmes) plus sector-based collaboration.

 

SUSTAINABILITY AWARD

 

The Sustainability Award recognises the efforts of the airline or ground handler that has distinguished itself in the sustainable development of aviation. An important criterion is the environmental impact (CO2 emissions and noise) of its operations, including the application of new technologies and fleet renewal.

 

CARGO AWARD

 

The Cargo Award will be presented to the business partner in the cargo industry that has made a significant contribution to the development of Amsterdam Airport as a cargo mainport. The criteria that play a role in the award are tapping into new markets, developing new products and services, growth in cargo volume and strengthening the cargo network at Schiphol.

 

PASSENGER AIRLINE OF THE YEAR AWARD – EUROPE

 

The Passenger Airline of the Year Award – Europe will be presented to the airline that has made a significant contribution to strengthening the network of European destinations at Schiphol and the frequency of the flight service operating these destinations. Other criteria that play a role in the award are punctuality during peak hours, product innovations and distinctive positioning in the passenger market.

 

PASSENGER AIRLINE OF THE YEAR AWARD – INTERCONTINENTAL

 

The Passenger Airline of the Year Award – Intercontinental will be presented to the airline that has made a significant contribution to strengthening the network of intercontinental destinations at Schiphol and the frequency of the flight service operating these destinations. Other criteria that play a role in the award are punctuality during peak hours, product innovations and distinctive positioning in the passenger market.
